Balanzin in the Venetian and Lombard languages

In several dialects of northern Italy, "balanzin" identifies rather different objects. For example, a part (top right image) of the structure of a horse-drawn cart (see left). Another is a winch for lifting or lowering objects between different floors on a construction site, yet another is a tool used in quarries. They are not the only ones called like that but, in any case, they all identify work tools. The surname is probably related to their use…
